BAMBOO MUSEUM

Bamboo Museum, located in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, is 220 KM away from Shanghai, 230 KM away from Nanjing and 60 KM away from Hangzhou. Its construction started in 1974 and now the 1200-mu museum is a 4A national scenic area, a national agricultural tourism demonstration spot, and a national science education base. The limpid Xuxi River reflects 389 kind of rare bamboos. Undoubtedly, it is a real world of bamboos and a sea of bamboos.

Anji Bamboo Museum condenses the 6000-year bamboo culture in China and it is among the first-class in China and the whole world. With 12,000 square meters of floor areas, the museum has eight halls like History Hall, Resource Cultivating Hall, Literature and Arts Hall, Craftworks, and International Display Hall. There are two bamboo-weaving maps entitled Riverside Scene at the Pure Moon Festival and Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection, the largest and thickest bamboo in the world, the solid Guli Bamboo, and so on. Rich displays and detailed historical resources make visitors aware of the rich bamboo resources, its long history and splendid bamboo culture in China.
